The College Board – the folks that administer the PSAT, SAT, and CSS Profile (among others) is launching a new scholarship program set to roll out in December. Beginning with the Class of 2020, the College Board will award $5 million per year in scholarships.
The company lays out six steps in the college application process, and assigns a dollar amount to each:
Build a college list – $500
Practice for the SAT at Khan Academy – $1,000
Improve your SAT score – $2,000
Strengthen your college list – $500
Complete the FAFSA – $1,000
Apply to colleges – $1,000
Complete all six steps – $40,000
